Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen has become a real target for Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Newcastle in the upcoming transfer window for many obvious reasons.
The 20-year-old centre-back as already complete! – Dean Huijsen looks set to be one of the hottest transfer cases this summer, with several top European clubs also interested.

According to initial reports, Huijsen has a buyout clause of £50 million – information that has been confirmed by several BBC Sport sources.
Bournemouth are aware of the interest from the four Premier League clubs and are increasingly preparing to lose the young player.
European interest can decide
Still, the English clubs’ hopes may depend on whether European giants increase their interest in the Netherlands-born Spanish defender. Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have both been linked with Huijsen in recent weeks.
If Real Madrid are really serious about their interest, they will have a big advantage, not only because they are a Spanish club, but also because they qualify for the Champions League every single year and always go far.

How strong are the English clubs’ chances?
- Chelsea have a good relationship with Huijsen’s advisors, which could be decisive.
- Liverpool’s interest could depend on developments surrounding Ibrahima Konaté’s future. Konaté’s contract expires in the summer of 2025, and if an extension is not agreed, Liverpool may have to look for alternatives.
- Newcastle will prioritise a new centre-back this summer after missing Marc Guehi’s first goal last year. They could be an attractive option for Huijsen, especially if they qualify for the Champions League.
- Arsenal have a solid central defence with William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães, so even if they are interested in Huijsen, it could be difficult to break up the established partnership.
Huijsen, who joined Bournemouth from Juventus last year, has established himself as one of Europe’s best ball-playing centre-backs over the past 12 months. He has also been the focal point of an international match between the Netherlands and Spain.
He was born in Amsterdam and played for the Netherlands’ age-specific team up to U19 level, but is also eligible for Spain after moving to Marbella as a youngster. He was granted Spanish citizenship last year and made his debut for the Spanish national team (which just won the European Championship) last month.
With so much interest, it is clear that Huijsen’s future could be one of the summer’s most exciting transfer cases.
