Bayern Munich have previously been linked with an interest in Arsenal left winger Leandro Trossard.

According to German media, the German giants see the Belgian as a “plan B” if they fail to sign Liverpool’s Luis Díaz this summer.

Now, Sky Sports journalist Christian Falk, who has good sources at Bayern Munich, comes with new information about a possible Trossard transfer.

According to Falk, Bayern have now contacted Trossard’s representatives and started talks about a possible transfer. It is worth noting that the player recently switched to a German agent.

Sources claim that Bayern believe they can offer a better wage package than what Arsenal would be able to propose in the event of a contract extension. – As of now, the 30-year-old earns £4.68 million a year, rumours are that Arsenal have cut wages in their proposal for a new contract.

Trossard’s current contract with Arsenal expires in the summer of 2026.

Since joining from Brighton in January 2023, Leandro Trossard has made 128 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 28 goals and providing 23 assists.
