To be honest, I think both the rule of Bayern Munich and the philosophy of La Liga clubs is a bit silly, that players who deliver at the highest level still do not become part of the club’s long-term planning when they pass the age of 30. – You can guess who was responsible for Barcelona’s last hat-trick. (Hint he comes from Poland and is 37 years old)
The battle for Harry Kane is flaring up even though he is really old!
Harry Kane emerges as the top transfer priority for the European giant in potential transfer worth £57 million. – The English goal machine has been identified as Robert Lewandowski’s successor once again, this time at Barcelona.

The 32-year-old replaced the Polish international as Bayern Munich’s leading striker in 2023, when Lewandowski left the Allianz Arena on a free transfer to move to Catalonia. – The 37-year-old, who has scored seven goals in nine La Liga games this season, now finds himself in a similar situation with his contract expiring next summer. Not really what he delivers on the pitch.
Succeed Robert Lewandowski once again!
The Blaugrana are looking for a replacement for the striker, and according to the Guardian, they have made Kane their number one target. It has been claimed that Tottenham Hotspur’s all-time top scorer is considered the ideal, slightly younger successor to Lewandowski.
They have even hinted that the Spanish giants could be willing to activate his £57 million buyout clause that comes into effect next year. If a move to the Nou Camp were to materialise, Kane could have been given the opportunity to play alongside his teammate Marcus Rashford.
Rashford is currently on loan at Barca from Manchester United, but they are expected to make his temporary stay a permanent transfer. While Kane is on Barcelona’s radar, there are no indications that he will push for a move to Spain.
Vincent Kompany’s team is ready to break its policy for players over the age of 30 to stave off interest from their rivals in the Champions League.
While there is speculation about Kane’s future, the player himself has openly admitted that he is ready to commit his future to Bayern.
He said last month, “In terms of getting longer, I could certainly envision it.”
“I said openly a few weeks ago that I haven’t had talks with Bayern about it yet, but if they were to arise, I would be willing to talk and have an honest conversation.”
“Of course, it depends on how the next year goes and what we achieve together.”
“As of now, I would say that we are in a wonderful period, and I am not thinking about anything else.”
“As for the Premier League, I don’t know. If you had asked me when I first went to go to Bayern, I would have said that I would surely come back.”
“Now that I’ve been there for a couple of years, I’d probably say the chance has diminished a bit, but I wouldn’t say I’ll never return.”
“What I’ve learned in my career is that different opportunities and different times arise, and things fall into place.”
“To go back to my first point with Bayern, as of now, I am fully invested in Bayern.”
Goals haven’t been hard to come by for Kane at Bayern, with the Three Legends hero scoring 108 goals in 113 appearances in all competitions.
