Surprisingly, Jadon Sancho could be reintegrated into the Manchester United squad next season if Chelsea choose not to sign him this summer.
The 25-year-old joined Chelsea on a season-long loan in August last year, and Man Utd included a mandatory purchase clause worth around €30 million in the deal to sell the Englishman.

But Enzo Maresca’s side have the option of cancelling this deal and sending him back to Old Trafford if they pay a fine of €6 million (£5 million).
If Chelsea decide not to sign Sancho permanently, he could still be given a role at Man Utd next season, according to reports, despite widespread rumours that he will be sold due to ongoing tensions with the club.
This comes from Ben Jacobs, who told YouTube channel The United Stand
: “If Sancho and Chelsea can’t agree on the terms, they send him back to Manchester United for a fine of £5 million, and then we’ll have to wait and see. I don’t think it’s as clear as with [Alejandro] Garnacho and [Marcus] Rashford. There could be a possibility that Sancho will be reintegrated into Manchester United if he is returned. I think it’s more 50/50, depending on how the player responds to a return.”
Although Sancho could get game time for Man Utd next year, he is still expected to leave Old Trafford, as the club needs to raise money through player sales.

The club have already confirmed that Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Matheus Cunha will arrive in the summer, and reports suggest that they are also keen to sign Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo.

Chelsea could still decide to sign Sancho permanently this summer, especially considering Mykhailo Mudryk’s ongoing doping suspension, but they are also working to sign Nico Williams or Jamie Gittens.
Sancho scored five goals and provided ten assists in 41 games in the 2024/25 season, including a spectacular goal against Real Betis in the final of the Europa Conference League.
