Not to disguise the Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, there are bigger and more exciting clubs. The latest example of that is Omar Marmoush, who Manchester City bought this winter for 75 million euros and who they themselves got for free from Wolfsburg in the summer of 2023.

Malmö FF sold Hugo Larsson to Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2023 for 9 million euros, in the summer most believe that the Swedish midfielder will move on and put a lot of money into the club, one of those who want to buy Manchester City.

According to Bild journalist Christian Falk, several big clubs have been keeping an eye on Hugo Larsson.

The 20-year-old Eintracht Frankfurt player is in demand and is being linked with a possible transfer, with Manchester City mentioned as the favourite to secure his signature.

But there are several big clubs keeping an eye on him. AC Milan, Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Real Madrid have all scouted Larsson. Falk also confirms that Manchester City have taken a lead in the battle for the Swede and have expressed interest in the player’s representatives.

Frankfurt wants to keep Larsson – but has a price

In recent days, Bild has reported that Eintracht Frankfurt believe they can keep Larsson for a while longer, thanks to a tactic inspired by the Omar Marmoush transfer (where the club waited until the right bid came).

There has been speculation that Frankfurt expects 60-70 million euros for a sale. However, according to Falk, the German club will probably consider accepting a bid of around 50 million euros.

Larsson has a contract until 2029 and renewed the agreement as recently as this autumn. This season, the former Malmö FF player has accounted for six goals and one assist in 38 appearances in all competitions.
