They mostly play on their own wing, but still Brann’s right winger Ole Didrik Blomberg is a good replacement for Philip Zinckernagel who was on loan from Club Brugge in the last half of last season. Bodø/Glimt chose not to trigger the buyout clause in the loan deal, instead signing the Dane for Chicago Fire FC in a transfer worth 850,000 euros.

Ole Didrik Blomberg, who has been a Brann player ever since his transfer from Åsane (also Bergen) four and a half years ago. On Bodø/Glimt’s pages, you can hear him say: “I feel relieved and excited. Those were the feelings I was left with when I went to bed last night, now I’m excited and happy. I’m looking forward to training and feeling the level”

The 24-year-old Blomberg made 115 appearances for Brann. Last season, he made 25 appearances, and the winger delivered three goals and seven assists. – We think he will be a perfect partner for Bodø/Glimt’s top scorer Kasper Høgh, the Dane extended his contract before Christmas until 2024.

In other words, Brann’s new head coach Freyr Alexandersson will have to do without one of his strong cards going into next season, which will probably be at least as tough as the one we have put behind us. Sporten.com are not yet ready with “our table” for 2025, but what we have seen so far from Brann and others means that we are still keeping a big button on a new gold to be brought home to Aspmya.

Previously, Alexandersson has been head coach of Iceland’s women’s national team, assistant on the men’s national team and head coach of Danish Lyngby BK’s men’s team from 2021 to 2024

Even before the 2024 season, Blomberg was linked to Glimt.

“Glimt has a tendency to get players out to big clubs in Europe, and then I felt ready for a change of environment, meet some new faces and find some new motivation to take new steps. Then it was not so difficult to choose Glimt when they were interested, says Ole Didrik Blomberg.
