All year it has actually been clear that Bodø/Glimt would win this year as well, but a dip in the autumn opened up some excitement from Brann who actually two rounds before the end were leading the Eliteserien. However, while the Bergens in their last two rounds faced tough opposition in Molde and Viking, the reigning champions were exceptionally lucky with their opponents. – Odd and Lillestrøm, who deservedly moved to the OBOS-League this year, had nothing to do against Norway’s best club.
But it started with a surprise: Eric Larsson gave Lillestrøm the lead against Bodø/Glimt after 12 minutes. It took a while for Bodø/Glimt to really get going, but finally Bodø/Glimt won the Norwegian league for the second year in a row.

Only one point separated league leaders Bodø/Glimt and second place Brann. In the last round, Bodø/Glimt faced an already relegation-ready Lillestrøm, while Brann clashed with third-placed Viking.
Bodø/Glimt won the bottom team with a fierce 5-2 and defended their league title. At the same time, Brann only got 1-1, against Viking.
The club from the north now has four league titles in the last five years.
