With the success of Bodø/Glimt in recent years also comes the drive of talents to draw to Aspmyra and Glimt stars to pull out to big clubs in Europe. The first often brings success, the second an exciting journey and a full salary account, but rarely the great football happiness. So when Barcelona have scouts in the stands to follow Glimt’s latest super talent, we encourage them to remind the teenager of what he already has at Glimt.
If you had asked the management of European big clubs a number of years ago if they know about Bodø/Glimt, the answer would have been a: ???. In recent years, the elite league club has forced itself into the consciousness of the same leaders. This has sent Barcelona themselves on a trip to follow the Glimt player.

Mikkel Bro Hansen chose Bodø/Glimt in January. Danish AGF never “managed” to sign a contract, the 16-year-old came to Glimt at no cost. Five months later, the teenager is on Barcelona’s radar.
According to Barcelona newspaper Sport, the La Liga giant is now keeping a close eye on the Danish striker. The Spanish newspaper claims Barcelona had scouts in the stands at a youth landscape match against England, where the Danish U16 national team and Bro Hansen lost 3-7.The Barca scouts are said to have come on an errand to follow the Bodø/Glimt striker, where the feedback is said to have been that the 16-year-old “looks promising”.
There is a reason why the Danish talents succeed at Bodø/Glimt. Firstly, they have been selected as suitable for Glimt’s team machine, and secondly, they get the confidence that few other clubs that have made a big mark out in Europe offer. Thirdly, Glimt offers title matches in the Eliteserien and plenty of opportunities in the UEFA leagues.
There should therefore be no rush for young players to leave the Bodø club. Take advantage of the unique opportunity to evolve over time, where “everyone knows your name”. The big clubs wait until the player is ready. And if they don’t wait, they are hardly the right club to bet on.
So if it turns out that conical Barcelona is knocking, think carefully about what you lose by leaving Bodø/Glimt too soon. We’re just mentioning it.
