Tromsø was stronger than all experts predicted last season, but in the new Eliteserie season that starts in just over a month, most predict TIL as the top four.

There have been rumours for a while about the Swedish striker Viktor Ekblom after he started banging in goals for Falkenbergs FF in Allsvenskan.

Shortly after TIL striker Ieltsin Camões made the trip to Egypt, the club has brought in a very good replacement! Viktor Ekblom signs a 2 year contract with the club. Transfermarkt believes that the transfer is worth 300,000 euros.

“I’m a hard-working and intensive striker with a winning mentality. I love winning and contributing with goal points. I like to be involved in the game a lot”

Viktor Ekblom does not regret for a second that he switched from Lunds BK to FFF ahead of the 2025 season, something he tells the club’s pages: “My time in Falkenberg has been fantastic. I take very, very much with me. The only thing that could make me leave FFF was if the club got what they valued me for, and that it was a really good sporting opportunity for me. Both worked well. It was important to me that it went well, as I have great respect for Falkenbergs FF. It still says something about the fact that it was the best time I’ve had in my career, even though I was injured part of the time. The support, the care, the congratulations in the stands when I couldn’t be there, and the fantastic support I got in the stands when I played. It was incredible. And that we could have such a good season makes me proud. I hope that the team continues to take big steps forward and become stronger”

– An agreement that we as an association are happy with, says sports director Andreas Jankevics.

After scoring goal after goal in the Falkenberg shirt this autumn, there has been interest in Viktor Ekblom’s services. Now it is clear that the 27-year-old striker is being sold.

His next club address will be Tromsø in Norway. Ekblom has signed a two-year contract.

FFF’s sports director Andreas Jankevics is pleased with the agreement:

FFF wants an environment where players can grow, perform and take the next step in their careers – whether it is nationally or internationally – and this is further proof of that. It benefits the player, it strengthens our business and it helps to strengthen the club’s brand as having a good development environment.

Ekblom himself:
“The time in Falkenberg has been fantastic. I take very, very much with me. The only thing that could make me leave FFF was if the club got what they valued me for, and that it was a very good sporting chance for me. Both were a good fit. It was important to me that it went right, as I have great respect for Falkenbergs FF.

“It still says something that it was the best time I’ve had in my career, despite the fact that I was injured part of the time. The support, the care, the good wishes from the stands when I couldn’t participate, and the fantastic support I got from the stands when I played. It was incredible. And that we could have such a good season makes me proud.

Ekblom delivered nine goals in 15 games in Superettan last year. He came from Lunds BK at the beginning of 2025, but missed large parts of the spring season due to an injury. The breakthrough therefore did not come until the autumn.

Tromsø finished third in the Norwegian elite league, Eliteserien, last season.
