The Newcastle management stubbornly denies that Sandro Tonali was offered to rival Arsenal in January. Reports continue to come, however, about the Italian’s “flirtation” with the London club. Now it is reported that Manchester United will elbow their way forward in the queue. Ahead of their Premier League rivals.
That says a lot about the player, as you get tangled up in the world of illegal betting, incur a 10-month ban from October 2023 and two+ years later are being chased by the biggest clubs in the Premier League (plus Real Madrid). This is the player Manchester United intend to start next season with, it is reported.

Tonali’s agent, Giuseppe Riso, has according to Teamtalks reported that there will be talks with Newcastle about his future later in the season, and suggests that he could leave at the end of the season. According to The Telegraph , Manchester United have Tonali high on their wish list. Casemiro will leave the club this summer, the Italian international is said to have been singled out as a potential replacement.
Tonali’s condition for a transfer to another club this summer is said to be Champions League football in the 2026-27 season. With the pace Michael Carrick and United have at the moment in the Premier League, this should be something the club can offer Tonali.
However, it will not be easy. One is that Newcastle do not want to sell. The second is that Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea are all reported to be on the same track. Third, that Newcastle are expected to demand £100 million+ to release the Italian midfield “dynamo”.
