Kristoffer Klaesson Aalesund’s new number 1. The 25-year-old goalkeeper is brought in from league champions Viking and has signed a contract until 2028.

This is announced by the newly promoted elite league club in a press release.
“This is a very talented goalkeeper with great potential. He is still young and has a lot to go on in his development. He is a state-of-the-art goalkeeper who is good with his feet, and he has already gained good experience for his age, says coach Kjetil Rekdal to Aalesund’s pages.
Klaesson has previously played for Vålerenga, Leeds, Raków Czestochowa, AGF and Viking.
After Sten Grytebust left AaFK after the 2025 season, the club only had one senior goalkeeper. Klaesson became the solution. He started in 14 league games in Viking’s golden season.

He is the fourth player to come to Aalesund in this transfer window, after inside runner Endre Osenbroch, center back Emil Engqvist and forward Ivan Djantou.
