Cole Palmer, who is on Manchester United’s shopping list, scored his fourth career Premier League hat-trick in Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Wolves. The England international then commented with a sensational statement after he performed a different goal celebration.

The 23-year-old found the back of the net with two penalties and a left-footed goal in the first half, almost doubling his goals for the season. Palmer has now scored seven times in the English top flight, after a difficult first part of the season.

Cole Palmer is “not for sale”

After struggling with various health issues, the England international hasn’t been at his best for a while, but showed what he’s capable of with his impressive performance at Molineux.

Cole Palmer rejects ‘nonsense’ after Wolves v Chelsea

After the convincing victory, Palmer addressed the “nonsense” he feels has been talked about him during the season. Reports surfaced in January that the playmaker had become “unwavering” at Stamford Bridge, leading to speculation about a possible move to Manchester United.

As a raised Red (United supporter) from childhood, it is unclear whether the former Manchester City player is referring to the transfer speculation or the criticism he has received for his lack of consistency and injury problems this season. Palmer told BBC Sport:

“Everyone loves to talk nonsense, doesn’t they?

I don’t pay too much attention to it. You see things. But I feel like I’m coming from a strong place anyway, so I don’t notice it.”

He then went on to give his thoughts on the injury issues he has faced since the summer. The Blues’ star man said: “I don’t think (I’m 100 per cent injury-free) yet.

Obviously, people don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes. But being injured all season is not ideal.

When I am not able to perform the way I want due to injury, and still deal with the injury, but hopefully I can get rid of the injury soon by dealing with it. I know what level I can deliver when I feel 100 percent injury-free.”

Bruno Fernandes sends message to Palmer

If the unthinkable were to happen and Palmer moved to Old Trafford, he would have to fight Bruno Fernandes to be the main creator. The amount of chances that the English and Portuguese stars would create for their teammates in red would be absurd.

Cole Palmer has made his feelings clear about Manchester United amid shocking transfer speculation.

The links to Old Trafford have surfaced after reports claim that Cole Palmer is “unwavering” at Chelsea.

Although Palmer dismissed all talk of leaving Chelsea with his clear goal celebration and post-match comments, some United supporters will have been a little thrilled to see Fernandes leave a comment on the 23-year-old’s Instagram post. He simply said, “What a player.”
