Carlo Ancelotti gets a new contract with Brazil and maintains his historic salary.
It’s almost a year since Carlo Ancelotti was hired as Brazil manager on a contract that lasts until the upcoming World Cup finals.
Now the Italian coaching legend gets a new contract that will last until the playoffs in 2030, where the World Cup will be held in Spain, Portugal and Morocco. ESPN writes.
The details of the contract were reportedly finalized earlier this week, and only the signature is missing before it takes effect.
ESPN can reveal the details of the contract.
Carlo Ancelotti will maintain his annual salary of €10 million – equivalent to approximately €75 million – making him not only the world’s highest-paid national team coach, but also the highest-paid Brazilian national team coach ever.
However, while he is “only” maintaining his salary, his staff – assistants Paul Clement and Francesco Mauri, physical trainer Mino Fulco and analyst Simone Montanaro – will receive a pay rise at Carlo Ancelotti’s request.
Carlo Ancelotti, 66, has led Brazil in 10 games with five wins, two draws and three losses.
