The Danes Albert Grønbæk and Casper Tengstedt both have experience in the Eliteserien. The former for Bodø/Glimt, Tengstedt for Rosenborg. Off the Norwegian turf, however, things have not gone smoothly for the two players, but now an Italian club is opening the door for the two former elite league players.

Grønbæk recently signed with Serie A club Genoa on loan for the season from Rennes. The stay at Rennes was never a success, nor was the winter’s loan to Southampton in the Premier League. Italy’s 13th best club sees the former Bodø/Glimt player as excellent for the attacking midfield. According to transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the lease includes a purchase option of 10.5 million euros.

Now to Tengstedt. The Dane has not made a name for himself at Benfica after his transfer in 2023, last season the Dane disappeared on loan to Hellas Verona. According to the Italian transfer journalist, the Genoa management has been convinced by Tengstedt’s 25 games and 6 goals in Serie A last season, now the club is in negotiations with Benfica about a loan.

Here, a call option will also be included in the agreement.

Thus, Tengstedt can join Grønbæk – with well-established Morten Thorsby. Will be exciting to follow.
