Red Bull is unmatched this season. In the seven races held so far, they have triumphed. Only Max Verstappen and his teammate Checo Perez were on the top step of the podium. Both are also hungry for more, with Perez saying he believes he can beat Verstappen at the Canadian Grand Prix.
In the seven races played, only Max Verstappen and Checo Perez were on the top step of the podium. Both started the F1 season on a very good level. Already after the first race they were very close to each other in the general classification. Perez won in Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan, where he scored a lot of points, and even showed up at the start in Miami with the possibility of taking the lead from his teammate. There, however, he made a mistake and Verstappen got away from him and is now 53 points ahead.
Checo Perez is confident in his ability and although he knows it will be difficult, he believes he can beat Verstappen.
“Being Max’s teammate is probably the hardest because he’s a driver who doesn’t have many flaws, but I think he can be overcome. I’ve been on par with Max since the beginning of the season, one way or another, sometimes better or worse, but I think that’s the way it should be,” Perez said.
Perez wants to forget the mistakes and look at the positives. The car works, it feels good and that gives Perez confidence. He will be looking to get back on winning track this weekend in Canada.
