The London-based team is ready to spend significant funds to strengthen the squad and fight for the Premier League title again.

Chelsea have set their next target to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming transfer window: Mohammed Kudus. The talented Ghanaian striker from West Ham United has caught the attention of Chelsea management, who are willing to spend up to €70 million to secure his signature.

Kudus, 24, joined West Ham from Ajax for around €43 million, and his performances in the Premier League have not gone unnoticed. His ability to dribble, provide assists and score from midfield has sparked considerable interest among the top clubs in English football. Chelsea actually considered signing him in the previous winter window, but a deal was not realized. Now, the Daily Mail reports that the Stamford Bridge side will make another attempt to sign him.

Premier League battle for Kudus
Chelsea now seem determined to take the final step, but they will not be alone in the battle for the player. Arsenal have also shown interest in the Ghanaian international, a player who is highly valued by coach Mikel Arteta. The Arsenal manager particularly appreciates Kudus’ attacking play and adaptability to different tactical setups.

With two London giants interested, Kudus’ future could lie beyond the London Stadium. If West Ham decide to sell, they will do so in the knowledge that they are sitting on a sought-after player – and they will not let him go for less than around €70 million. The clash between Chelsea and Arsenal is underway.
