Jadon Sancho started promisingly on loan to Chelsea and the supporters pointed their noses at the United supporters. “Look what happens when the shirt is blue!”. In the latter part of March, the mood has turned. Now it is being weighed up whether it is best financially to pay your way out of a permanent transfer, but Plan B has been put on the table.

Chelsea have an obligation to buy Sancho of around £25 million, but have a clause that allows them to buy out for around £5 million. Plan B combines both scenarios.

According to TBR Football, Chelsea management are looking at the possibility of signing Sancho, in order to sell the 25-year-old directly to Borussia Dortmund with a mark-up on the price they pay to United.

This is where Sancho was at his peak before his move to Manchester United in 2021, it was here that the winger showed on loan last season he had a level that lasted all the way to the Champions League final.

The English media claims Sancho’s representatives have already been in contact with Dortmund about a return on a permanent transfer, where the feedback has been positive.
