Arsenal’s Mykhaylo Mudryk signing was hijacked by Todd Boehly and the Chelsea gang in 2023. The champagne corks popped at Stamford Bridge, but since then, the Ukrainian player has given the club little to celebrate. Now Chelsea could have a problem with the 23-year-old that goes far beyond not scoring as expected.

We should be careful when it comes to such sportingly serious topics as doping, but take into account that the Ukrainian media Tribuna claims that Mudrik tested positive on a doping test in October. Neither the Ukrainian Football Association nor the player himself have commented on the allegations.

Chelsea, on the other hand, will do so at lunchtime on Tuesday.

“Chelsea Football Club can confirm that the Football Association has recently contacted our player Mykhaylo Mudryk regarding a positive test result in a routine urine test,” the Premier League club writes on its website.

“Mykhaylo says he has never knowingly used any banned substances,” it adds.
