Jamie Gittens, Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Estevao, Dario Essugo, Mamadou Sarr and Kendry Paez. This is the signing list for “The World’s Best Club” this summer. Massive reinforcements, but still not enough. We have become accustomed to Chelsea manoeuvring to a transfer budget few others can, or dare to match. Now it is announced that up to 70 million euros will be taken out of the club’s coffers.

On Monday, Sky Sports reported that Chelsea were the most active in signing Xavi Simons at RB Leipzig. The Bundesliga club pulled up €50 million in January 2025 for a permanent transfer for the Dutchman who had been on loan from PSG since 2023. However, the idyll did not last long. In May, the 22-year-old announced he wanted to leave, after RB Leipzig missed out on a ticket to play in Europe with their 6th place in the Bundesliga.

Arsenal have also been keen to sign the 22-year-old, but are prioritising getting Viktor Gyökeres finally in place at the Emirates. According to transfer journalist Romano, Chelsea are on the offensive, where negotiations with RB Leipzig started today. The Germans have expectations of 70 million euros and thus a very nice sales gain of up to 20 million euros over the course of six months.
