Chelsea have stepped up their efforts to secure the transfer of Juventus striker Kenan Yildiz this summer.

CaughtOffside writes that Chelsea now seem to be making the hardest effort to sign Yildiz, although Juventus do not want to let the talented young Turkish international star disappear. In yesterday’s 2 – 0 win over Monza at the Allianz Stadium, Yildiz was sent off with a red card.

The Serie A giants will demand up to €100 million for Yildiz, who is also on the radar of other big Premier League clubs such as Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City.

Yildiz has shown no signs of leaving Juventus, but clubs are exploring the possibility in case the Turin giants fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Kenan Yildiz transfer won’t be cheap – but he could be the face of the Chelsea project for years to come

Chelsea are clearly facing a tough battle to secure Yildiz, but it makes sense that he is one of their top priorities. He could be ideal to really give “The Blues” project a boost.

The current ownership group at Chelsea has prioritised bringing in elite youngsters, but we have yet to see that it has brought any real success to the club.

Yildiz, on the other hand, will be a signing who sends a strong signal and can lift this team to new heights for many years to come.

The 19-year-old could also be a perfect bargain for clubs like Liverpool and Arsenal right now – and he could possibly find them as more attractive destinations.

Why Liverpool and Arsenal might be better options

Arsenal could use more depth in attack to relieve Bukayo Saka, and Yildiz could be an ideal upgrade from the more uneven Gabriel Martinelli.

Liverpool, on the other hand, could benefit from considering Yildiz as an alternative to Luis Díaz and Cody Gakpo, who haven’t quite convinced lately, while Diogo Jota has been plagued by injuries during his time at Anfield.

These clubs could therefore be better options for Yildiz than Chelsea, who may not even qualify for next year’s Champions League after an uneven season.
