There were a few chaotic weeks and days after New Year 2023. Chelsea had clung to the boot of world champion Enzo Fernandez, and refused to let go despite Benfica’s demands to wait until the end of the season. The London club pressed the buyout clause button of 121 million euros, after a ten-hour long round of negotiations, the Argentine got on Chelsea’s private jet and departed for London, right on the eve of the transfer window. Now the 24-year-old is considered one of Chelsea’s key players, but reports from the other side of the channel are worrying Chelsea supporters.
It hasn’t taken long for the new manager, Liam Rosenior, to be immediately convinced by Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez. The Argentine has played in both games Rosenior has been in charge, scoring from the penalty spot in the FA Cup win against Charlton. Chelsea’s new manager praised Fernandez for his efforts in the loss to Arsenal, but reports that have come out since have been worrying for Chelsea supporters.

It is rumored that Fernandez is getting tired of the situation at Stamford Bridge. He has already seen Potter, Lampard (left), Pochettino and Enzo Maresca come and get kicked out. Real Madrid have already been linked with the midfield terrier, now it is also reported that PSG are on the trail – and have taken the first step towards signing this summer.
According to journalist Uriel Iugt, the Ligue 1 giant has made contact with the midfielder: “PSG have Enzo Fernández in their sights for the coming season. The interest is concrete, and so far there has only been informal contact with his representatives.”

Fernandez has previously described PSG as the best club in the world, which makes it hard to believe that he would flatly reject a transfer – if the chance presents itself.
