Throughout the summer and autumn, the Dane’s exit had been announced. Then one, after the other transfer window, closed, the 32-year-old did not budge. Few thought Eriksen would be in the United squad longer than Ten Hag, who didn’t show much confidence in the central midfielder. Ten Hag was eliminated, Eriksen stayed, but now the decision is reported to have been made.
According to Sky Sports, Manchester United management have chosen not to extend Eriksen’s contract, which expires in the summer of 2025.

The Dane has made 86 appearances in a United shirt since 2022, with 7 goals and 16 assists. At Amorim, there were 68 minutes on the pitch against Ipswich, when Bodø/Glimt were about to shake United in the Europa League, the Dane sat on the bench.
The English media reports Man United are now actively looking for Eriksense replacements. It remains to be seen whether the 32-year-old will disappear in January, or walk out as a free agent in the summer.
