For the past two seasons, the two Spanish coaches have been fighting for the Premier League title. This season, the balance of forces has shifted in Arteta’s favour. Sergio Aguero believes the Arsenal manager is the natural person to replace Guardiola when the day comes.
And that day could come at the same time as Arteta is done at Arsenal. Both coaches have contracts that run until 2027.

City legend Aguero believes it will be almost impossible to replace Guardiola at the Etihad, but the Argentine believes Arteta is one of the few who can fill Guardiola’s shoes.
“Pep has extended his contract and Arteta has done a brilliant job at Arsenal. The point is unclear right now, but if what you’re looking for is a forward-looking answer as to whether Arteta can be a good manager for City, I would say he’s qualified for the job,” Aguero said, according to Goal.
