In the summer of 2023, Hugo Larsson said goodbye to the Malmö FF players. He got on the plane to Frankfurt in what was a record deal for the Swedish club. Two years later, Manchester City have discovered the Swedish 20-year-old, but have to come out with a completely different price.

Swedish media reported Eintracht paid around 12 million euros for the central midfielder. In the Bundesliga, the development has really taken off for Larsson, plenty of playing time this season with already 37 games and 6 goals.

Real Madrid, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham have all previously been linked with the Swedish international, Sky journalist Plettenberg claims Manchester City are very interested in bringing the 20-year-old to the Etihad this summer, where Eintracht have reportedly been informed Larsson himself is keen on a move to Manchester City.

The German club is in no hurry to sell the midfielder, so Manchester City must come up with at least 60 million euros, claims Plettenberg.
