Manchester City made quite a deal this summer when Julian Alvarez was tired of being overshadowed by Erling Haaland at the top. Atletico Madrid were willing to fork out £82 million for the striker. In the short term, a very lucrative deal, the problem was that the City management and Guardiola chose to believe the rest of the City attack would cover for Alvarez’s offensive, big contribution. Now the light blues will correct the mistake.

The City crowd thought they didn’t need to spend the money and relied on Erling Haaland and Phil Foden for goals like they did last season, while they looked to Jeremy Doku and new signing Savinho for extra “firepower”. Over in the second part of the season, everyone realizes that the plan has gone down the drain. Now Manchester City will give Haaland more support.

According to Footmercato, Manchester City have made a bid for Omar Marmoush. Marmoush has had a sensational first half of the season. The Egyptian striker has accounted for an incredible 18 goals and 12 assists in 24 appearances for Frankfurt this season.

The 25-year-old’s red-hot delivery has not only helped lift his club high up the Bundesliga table, but also made him one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe. A number of clubs are ready to sign the shooting star who is in his second year in Frankfurt.

Footmercato reports Manchester City are the first club to make a bid for Marmoush. The French media did not disclose what the bid was worth, but reports that the Egyptian has been in contact with City’s management and is interested in moving to Manchester.

Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool are also following Omar Marmoush closely.
