Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic resigned on Wednesday shortly after leading the club to the Champions League final. All spring he has been in danger of being fired due to poor performances in the Bundesliga.
What kept him from being fired was victory after victory in the Champions League. When he now decided to get it, it was of his own volition and rumors that he might like to lead a Premier League club.
It will be an exciting summer. Nuri Sahin a club legend and assistant to Terzic is employed on a long contract until June 2027.

Sahin has been Terzic’s assistant for the past season, but will now take over as head coach. He managed Antalyaspor in Turkey between 2021 and 2023.
Sahin also has an impressive playing career behind him in clubs such as Dortmund, Feyenoord, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Werder Bremer and Antalyaspor.
The Turk has played several periods in Dortmund and has scored a total of 26 goals and 49 assists in 274 games for the club. He was also part of the Dortmund squad that won the Bundesliga in the 2010/11 season and the German Cup in 2016/17.
On Thursday, it became clear that Terzic was finished in Dortmund after three years at the club. The 41-year-old himself is said to have asked to resign from the position.
Terzic took over as permanent head coach in July 2022 after being interim coach the year before. Since then, he led the yellow-clad in 96 games.
