Jürgen Klopp, along with Pep Guardiola, has caused Man Utd supporters – and players – the most sporting suffering. The two coaches have taken the big trophies, while Manchester United have played to finals tickets and some cup titles for far too many seasons. Klopp left Liverpool before his contract expired in the summer of 2024, where he clearly said he would not be in charge of a Premier League club other than Liverpool. This did not stop Manchester United from knocking on the German coaching legend’s door.

“Before he started at Red Bull, he could have coached the USA or England – maybe even Germany as well, if Julius Nagelsmann hadn’t been there. Even Chelsea and Manchester United approached him, the agent says according to Transfermarkt.
The Manchester United management saw no reason why Klopp should not lead the arch-rival of Liverpool…
And the response?
-… but Jürgen had made it clear that he did not want to coach any other club in England. These inquiries keep coming, says the agent.
