It took four months before Ten Hag again cashed in a solid severance package for not doing the job. Now, the Dutchman is surprisingly a candidate to take over the job in the Premier League.

This weekend, Jørgen Strand fired Nilsen’s employer, Wolverhampton, Vitor Pereira. The club surprisingly gave the Portuguese an extension after losing the first games of the season, but when a six-game losing streak, the longest in the club’s Premier League history, was a fact, Pereira was also finished, six weeks after his contract extension.

According to The Athletic, Wolves management are interested in having talks with Ten Hag, where he is a candidate to take over the Wolves job after internal discussions.

We hold our breath and hope the Premier League club instead steers itself towards top candidate Gary O’Neil – or why not Ole Gunnar Solskjaer? Erik ten Hag has nothing to do as the alpha male of the Wolves at Molineux Stadium anyway.
