Al-Nassr willing to pay €85 million for Barcelona goals

Barcelona want to sign a new left winger this summer, but the chances of securing their first goal are very slim. And new developments suggest that a deal is now even more unlikely.

It’s no secret that Barcelona’s sporting director Deco wants to sign Luis Díaz. The Liverpool player is the top priority of the man in charge of the Catalan transfers, and in recent weeks this interest has been followed up with concrete steps.

A formal inquiry was sent to Liverpool last week, but it was rejected. The Premier League champions have no interest in selling the 28-year-old, who scored 17 goals in the 2024/25 season.

Al-Nassr plans to surpass Barcelona with Díaz offer

This refusal does not seem to have deterred Barcelona, but more importantly – the same goes for Al-Nassr. Cristiano Ronaldo’s club are also very interested in signing Díaz this summer, and according to Ben Jacobs, they are willing to test Liverpool’s will with an offer worth €85 million. – The deal with Ronaldo expires in a few days, but the Portuguese star confirmed after the win against Spain in the Nations League final that he will stay at Al-Nassr.

Barcelona have no way of matching this amount due to their financial challenges, so it seems that Al-Nassr have free rein to secure Díaz if Liverpool become more open to negotiations.

But there may still be a glimmer of hope for Deco and Barcelona. Rafael Leão, who is well-liked by Joan Laporta, is also attracting interest from Al-Nassr. If they prioritize a transfer for the Portuguese international, the competition for Díaz will be out of the picture.

It remains to be seen how the situation around Díaz develops during the summer transfer window. Barcelona want him, but if Liverpool don’t slacken their stance, the chances of a move to Catalonia are very slim. As of now, there are no signs that a deal is realistic.
