Since the days of Alex Ferguson (and then Solskjaer), Manchester United have not been sniffing at the title in the world’s toughest league, the Premier League. Still, the money is flowing into the club, with supporters all over the world simply loving Man Utd. The rivals on the ball island cannot understand United’s incredible appeal without sporting results, but a Crystal Palace star “explains” why. He puts last season’s 15th best club in England at the very top of his wish list.

Daniel Muñoz was brought to Crystal Palace from Belgian side Genk in January 2024, during his time at Selhurst Park, the Colombian international has delivered as one of the most prominent wing-backs in the Premier League. In 64 league games, the 29-year-old has 5 goals and 12 assists.

Not surprisingly, the player is linked to bigger clubs. When the 29-year-old is asked by Colombian AS about this, Muñoz pulls out a bunch of his dream clubs, Manchester United included.

“First and foremost, there is a lot of talk about different clubs. But if you ask me, it would be a dream come true to play for one of these clubs, whether it’s Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid or Manchester United,” says Muñoz.

Now Muñoz is unlikely to be on his way to Old Trafford, but for Man Utd supporters another confirmation that the club is still shining. Even without a Champions League ticket.

It is part of the story that Munoz has helped sink United’s arch-rival Liverpool three times since August in the Palace shirt. Maybe a player United need on the right wing?
