Midfielder Daniel Söderberg has already landed in Skien ready for Odd, lured by the club’s history and ambitions. – For 2026, the goal is clear, a return to the Eliteserien after landing down in 9th place last season in the OBOS League.

The 28-year-old has good experience from level two in Sweden after four years at Superettan club Sandviken. Odd has got a player who fights for every single ball, as Sports Director Peter Svensson says about Daniel Söderberg’s importance to Sandvikens IF: – “Daniel has had a very big impact since he came to the club in 2022. He has been directly crucial to the sporting journey we have taken, and his name will always be mentioned with the utmost respect. He has always been a professional, and he has always been the one who has worked the hardest of all. He’s won the most close games, and he’s won the most fan hearts.”

“I’ve been looking forward to this ever since it became relevant”

In the winter of 2022, Daniel Söderberg joined Sandvikens IF from Vasalunds IF. After the move north, the midfielder became an important piece in Sandviken’s midfield and has over four seasons recorded 115 games for the club.

“It feels fantastic to be here. I have been looking forward to this ever since it became relevant. When I understood that Odd was interested, I reloaded the club and quickly got a very good impression. The combination of the club’s history and clear ambitions for the future made this feel just right,” says Söderberg to Odd’s website.

Svensson comments that the Superettan club now loses a leading player.

“After the end of the season, Daniel has expressed a great desire to have a change of scenery and be able to do an adventure. In SIF, the will of people is always of great importance, so we have therefore been helpful in bringing about this transition.
