He says that the Dane will earn two million Brazilian reais a month – equivalent to about 338,000 euros. The annual salary will go from approximately 2.4 million euros to approximately 4 million euros.

He has played for a number of European clubs, including Middlesbrough, Bordeaux, Leganés – and not least FC Barcelona, where he was signed in 2020 as an emergency solution after an injury. Braithwaite has represented Denmark in several championships, including the European Championship in 2021, where he helped lead Denmark to the semi-finals after the dramatic tournament in which Christian Eriksen collapsed. He is known for his incredible work capacity, professionalism, and ability to play both as a striker and winger. In 2022, he left Europe for Brazil and Gremio, where he quickly became a fan favorite.

Martin Braithwaite has a contract with Gremio until the end of 2027, and several Brazilian media describe how he is very well-liked at the club, as he is a player who is “hugely professional and experienced”, and who spends many, many hours at his club.
The Danish striker has struggled with an injury for a long time, but at the end of March he was finally back on the bench for the club.
