For Manchester United, Jadon Sancho is history in the squad, but the history of the €85 million investment from 2021 hangs like a clammy hand over coaches, managers and supporters at Old Trafford. Chelsea chose to buy their way out of the commitment of signing a permanent transfer, In Turin there is a different approach to Sancho signing, this is high on the priority list.

Juventus tried to secure Sancho’s signature, in the summer of 2024, and came close to completing the transfer. Sancho is said to have been open to playing for the Bianconeri, but the deal fell apart when Chelsea arrived late and convinced the former Borussia Dortmund star to join them instead. Now Juventus have returned to the negotiating table with renewed interest.

According to Givemesport, Juventus have revived interest in Sancho by proposing a swap that includes a selection of three players from their own squad: American right winger Tim Weah, midfielder Douglas Luiz and Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic.

Although the names of Weah, Luiz and Vlahovic have been put forward, United have not yet been in further talks or expressed formal interest in any of the three players.

Still, it tells how high the Italians put Jadon Sancho on their wish list.

Dusan Vlahovic, market cap €35 million (transfermarkt)

Douglas Luiz, market cap 30 million euros (transfermarkt)
