London club Chelsea won the Club World Cup after winning the final against a surprisingly uncommitted Paris Saint-Germain. – Cash prizes of a billion dollars made big clubs participate in the nonsense tournament that ended in an absurd way.

We all heard how Donald Trump wanted to bask in the glory with the winning team, but it took a while before we realized that he snatched a FIFA medal as if nothing had happened.

The president was given the medal by Gianni Infantino to watch, but ended up keeping it.

The Independent reveals that President Donald Trump was filmed as he in a discreet, fast and trained movement stuffed a FIFA Club World Cup winner’s medal into his jacket pocket just before handing Chelsea a replica of the trophy.

During the award ceremony at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday, Trump was presented with the medal by FIFA President Gianni Infantino while other medals were handed out to the winning team. However, videos show that Trump later put the medal in his jacket when Infantino appeared to ask for it back.

Infantino seemed to overlook the incident, sent a thumbs up and let Trump keep the medal.

“The Art of Stealing”

Sharp snapshots of the ceremony quickly spread on social media, with users calling the act “the art of theft”. “He didn’t play a single minute,” one user complained.

Trophy Authenticity Check

Trump himself revealed that the trophy he presented to Chelsea’s captain Reece James was a replica, and that FIFA had given him the real trophy beforehand.

Before the game in New Jersey, Trump told DAZN that the real trophy is currently in the Oval Office, after Infantino gave it to him during a visit in March.

“They asked if I could take care of the trophy for a while. We placed it in the Oval Office,” Trump said. “When I asked when they would pick it up, they replied that they weren’t going to — that we could keep it forever.”

Confusion on stage

Football fans and players were confused when Trump did not leave the stage after the award ceremony, but instead stood and clapped with the team. Chelsea’s star player Cole Palmer, who scored two of the team’s three goals, looked visibly stunned when Trump took a seat next to James.

“I knew he was going to be there, but not that he was going to be on stage during the trophy raising,” Palmer later admitted.

The incident has caused a stir and made many wonder about the president’s protocol habits during sporting events.

In other words, Donald Trump now has both the World Cup trophy and the World Cup medal to own, while Chelsea have a copy standing in the trophy room at Stamford Bridge.
