With his contract expiring in the summer of 2026, Juventus must agree on an extension with the 25-year-old, or seize the opportunity on the transfer market this summer to recoup part of the €70 million investment they put into Vlahovic in 2022.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, it has now been decided.
The Italian newspaper claims that Vlahovic’s representatives and Juventus agree that it is best for both parties with a break in the summer. Unwilling to reduce his wage demands in the event of an extension, Juve will send the 25-year-old on, knowing that both Arsenal and Newcastle have shown strong interest in the striker with 55 goals and 12 assists in 136 appearances.
Thus, Vlahovic takes a massive step closer to the Premier League, where the wage demand can be met.
