Jens Petter Hauge came home to Bodø/Glimt last season after a few seasons abroad without a big breakthrough. The rental period from Eintracht Frankfurt is over and Hauge is back at the Bundesliga club. For the Glimt supporters, a permanent signing of the club’s “big son” would be perfect. The Eintracht director perceives the Glimt management’s strategy as strange, because the opportunity was there.
“It’s a bit strange that they negotiated a purchase option (in the lease), which they could either use or not,” sports director Timmo Hardung begins to Kicker.
What makes Hardung stumble, is that Bodø/Glimt will be back to negotiate a price under the set purchase option.
“The amount has been set, and that’s what we want,” says Eintracht’s sporting director.
According to Avisa Nordland, the purchase option was for 5 million euros. Then we will see if Bodø/Glimt calculate that a permanent Hauge signing is worth it. Eintracht are unlikely to lower their expectations.
