Manchester United are reportedly keeping a close eye on a Premier League attacking midfielder with 20 assists this season, while an affordable price for the Dutch international has emerged.

The Red Devils have struggled significantly with a lack of goals this season, with first-team strikers Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee scoring just once in the Premier League in 2025.

This has led to growing rumours that Man Utd will look to bolster Ruben Amorim’s attack in the summer transfer window, with the likes of Viktor Gyökeres, Victor Osimhen and Dušan Vlahović linked with a move to Old Trafford.

However, the latest reports suggest that they may end up looking a little closer at home, as they are reportedly keeping an eye on Bournemouth’s star Justin Kluivert.

According to CaughtOffside, United have added Kluivert to their transfer list as an attacking option on the wing or as a number 10, after an impressive season for Bournemouth.

The Dutch attacker has been a key player for Bournemouth, who are currently 10th in the Premier League and are just five points clear of the top four. Andoni Iraola’s side are also in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, where they face Manchester City this coming Sunday.

Kluivert has played a big part in a successful season so far, with 13 goals and seven assists in 32 appearances, 12 of which have come in the Premier League, which puts him 10th on the all-time leading scorers list. (Best Manchester United player is Bruno Fernandes with 8th goal)

The 25-year-old is said to be open to a transfer – if the right opportunity presents itself this summer and the price should not scare anyone.

Bournemouth are in a strong negotiating position if clubs make bids for Kluivert, who is under contract until June 2028, but it is reported that he could be available for a transfer fee of €55 million.

In today’s market, this sum seems more than reasonable for a player whose value is clearly on the rise.

Congratulations to myself for having written an entire article about Justin Kluivert without mentioning he is the son of Dutch football legend Patrick Kluivert.
