This summer, Arne Slot and Liverpool brought in John Heitinga as assistant coach. 140 games in his legs as a former Everton player was no obstacle. The Dutchman has been part of Slot’s success journey, but will now be persuaded to jump off at breakneck speed towards the biggest titles.
Heitinga holds the title of First Team Coach, the same he held at West Ham until May.
According to Football Insider’s sources, the Dutchman is now the favourite to take over the head coaching job at West Bromwich.
After 22 games and 7th place in the Championship table, coach Carlos Corberán disappeared from December 24 (!) to Valencia, now West Brom will persuade Heitinga to jump off the success carousel at Liverpool
