On Saturday, the Swedish Expressen reported that AIK, the seventh best club in Sweden, has contacted Beale about the coaching job. Mikkjal Thomassen is currently the head coach of AIK, but his future at the club is supposedly uncertain, as he may move on.

Michael Beale has been Steven Gerrar’s wingman at Rangers, Aston Villa and Al Ettifaq. As head coach, Beale has experience at Queens Park Rangers, Sunderland and Rangers. Currently without a club, the Englishman will now be tempted to Nordic football.
