Erling Haaland is in the running for a sensational transfer after his stance on a move away from Manchester City has come to light. He has had an extremely goal-filled spell at Man City since his £51.2m transfer from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022.

He signed a five-year contract when he joined the club, before signing another lucrative deal in January.
The 25-year-old is under contract at Etihad until 2034, when his previous deal was due to expire in 2027.
Despite his long-term commitment to Manchester City, Haaland is wanted by Real Madrid, who have placed him at the top of their transfer wish list if they are to part ways with Vinicius Jr. Vinicius Jr. himself has been linked with a move away from Spain after the noise intensified in the wake of his outburst at El Clasico.
Vinicius Jr. has a contract until 2027, and a new deal has not yet been signed.
According to the Spanish publication SPORT, Vinicius Jr. remains firm on his demands, and his intention is to end his collaboration with the club if an agreement cannot be reached.
If Real Madrid sell the Brazilian winger, then the first name on their list to replace him is Haaland, the report says.
The Spanish giants could earn a staggering sum of £200 million if they approve the sale of Vinicius Jr., figures cited in reports linking him to a highly lucrative move to Saudi Arabia.
That would have given Real Madrid the means to chase the Norwegian goal machine, who would command a huge sum.
However, Haaland is not thinking about a move away from Man City and is looking forward to spending “many more years” at Man City.
On reports linking him to a move to Real Madrid, Haaland replied to AS: “What do you want me to say?”
“My feelings and the discussions I had convinced me that this was the right choice. Ultimately, when I talked to people, we came to this conclusion, and I felt very good about it.”
“I look forward to spending many more years in Manchester. It’s going to be incredible.”
Real Madrid have been keeping tabs on Haaland for several years, and he was linked with them before his move to Man City.
