Erling Braut Haaland is on his way to becoming the best footballer of all time. On the sidelines, Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola could resign himself to the fact that no one could stop the Norwegian attacking beast.
Manchester City won the summit clash with Bournemouth 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium.
Then Erling Haaland struck with two more goals, both assisted by French Rayan Cherki – Now he is listed with 13 goals in ten games.

Will be very difficult to stop Manchester City now that the heir to “Rodri” and Kevin de Bruyne is in place at the sky blues.
Manchester City are chasing league leaders Arsenal in the Premier League, and before Sunday’s summit clash with Bournemouth, Pep Guardiola’s side were under some pressure to win. Arsenal defeated Burnley on Saturday and thus placed themselves nine points ahead of City.
Then Erling Haaland made sure that they redeemed three points.
In the 17th minute, the Norwegian cracked the clean sheet when he was played forward by Rayan Cherki and coolly slotted in 1-0 past Djordje Petrovic in Bournemouth’s goal.
Tyler Adams equalised for Bournemouth just eight minutes later, when Gianluigi Donnarumma failed to clear the ball on a corner.
But the position was short-lived.
In the 33rd minute, Cherki again played Haaland forward. On a pass behind Bournemouth’s defensive line, the Norwegian outran everyone – even Petrovic in the goal – and rolled in 2-1 to the home side.
After an hour played, Nico O’Reilly made it 3-1 when he drifted into Bournemouth’s penalty area and squeezed in City’s third goal of the day with a low finish.
However, the focus was on Erling Haaland, who with his two goals now stands with a whopping 13 goals in ten appearances in the Premier League so far. Including the Champions League, the number is 17 goals in 13 appearances.
With the win, City retained a six-point margin to league leader Arsenal and places themselves in second place. Bournemouth, on the other hand, are fourth in the table after ten league rounds played.
“It was an important win and it feels good to bounce back after losing a bad game last time,” Haaland told Sky Sports and assessed his own performance.
“I tried to help the team win. That’s my goal, regardless of whether it’s by scoring goals or winning duels. It doesn’t matter. I want to help the team get better. That’s my job.
