David Moyes back at Everton. New owners. New stadium. Everton supporters ooze optimism. Not like before, where the experience has been “it can’t get any worse than last season”. This time, with the legendary Everton manager Moyes back “where he belongs”, it is finally time to invest in the long term. Then it’s time for an offensive in the transfer market.
Last summer, the club held on to its biggest asset, Jarrad Branthwaite. Manchester United invested heavily in bringing one of England’s greatest centre-back talents to Old Trafford, but Everton were able to resist. Now Brantwaithe has signed an extension, this summer it is Everton who are on the offensive.

This has sent Everton on a raid to the Premier League’s 6th best club.
According to The Athletic, Moyes and Everton have their sights set on Aston Villa captain John McGinn. The Scotland international was on the pitch for 50 games last season, a player Unai Emery does not want to lose.
Then we will see if the Scotsman Moyes has sent out signals to the Villa captain that create the necessary seed for a move to up-and-coming Everton. There is little doubt that Everton are seriously on the offensive.
