Branthwaite – One of the Premier League’s biggest talents

Branthwaite has had a gigantic breakthrough season for Everton, establishing himself as one of the league’s most impressive young stoppers. With his 1.95m height, impressive passing accuracy and physical dominance, he has attracted interest from several top clubs, including:

  • Manchester United – Euben Amorim is looking for a long-term partner for Lisandro Martínez.
  • Real Madrid – May need a future replacement for Nacho or David Alaba.
  • Tottenham – Ange Postecoglou will strengthen the defence with a ball-playing stopper.

Everton are reportedly demanding at least €80 million for Branthwaite, a sum that could be a transfer record for the club.

Koni De Winter – Belgium’s next great defensive talent

If Branthwaite leaves, Everton have already put their sights on Koni De Winter, who is currently playing on loan at Genoa from Juventus. The Belgian U21 international has impressed in Serie A this season with:

  • Strong Duel Force – Wins 67% of his aerial duels.
  • Good ball-playing ability – Average 85% passing accuracy.
  • Versatility – Can play both as a centre-back and right-back.

Juventus have a €10 million call option, but Genoa could choose to buy him permanently and then sell him on for a profit. This opens the door for Everton to come in with a bid.

Why is De Winter a perfect option?

  1. Age and potential – Only 22 years old, with room for further development.
  2. Experience in the top league – Has adapted to Serie A quickly.
  3. Cheaper alternative – Would cost a fraction of what Branthwaite can bring in.

What does this mean for Everton?

  • Financial – A sale of Branthwaite could provide the club with important capital to strengthen several positions.
  • Sporting – De Winter is a different type of player but has the potential to become a key player under Sean Dyche.
