David Moyes is back at Everton and has led the club to a resounding 3-2 win against Tottenham in the Premier League. Now the Merseyside club are taking steps to give Moyes as much help as possible in the coming months. That means a clever deal with Chelsea.
This summer, Everton brought in Chelsea striker Armando Broja on loan. The stay started with a bad Achilles injury until December. Then half an hour of playing time in five games, before it was again out with an injury, this time the ankle.
According to The Guardian, Everton are working on sending Broja back to Chelsea and instead getting Chelsea’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall or Carney Chukwuemeka on loan for the rest of the season.
Everton have committed to renting Broja, such a solution means that the club must pay Chelsea compensation for breach of the agreement. With strong pressure on the economy, there are few opportunities to go out on the market to buy players, now it is hoped that Chelsea, who have plenty of players to spare, show goodwill to solve Everton’s need for reinforcements and lift themselves up from the relegation battle.
