The Toffees will move into their new state-of-the-art stadium before the 2025/26 Premier League season. Everton’s women’s team and some youth teams will still use the old stadium. It will also be reared.
Farewell to Goodison Park
Everton will play their last home game at Goodison Park against Southampton on Sunday 18 May. The historic stadium from 1892 has become too small and obsolete with the commercial demands of football in modern times, despite its charm.

From the 2025/26 season, Everton will play their home games on the banks of the River Mersey at the new state-of-the-art stadium built on the Bramley-Moore dock near Liverpool city centre.
Everton fans have been given an outlet for their opinions after the club announced the name of their new home ground.
Name confirmation Since
construction started in July 2021, fans have speculated about what the new stadium would be called. Now they have the answer.
In a statement on the club’s website on Friday 16 May, it was confirmed that local law firm Hill Dickinson has entered into a “long-term agreement that gives the iconic stadium the name Hill Dickinson Stadium”.

Fans react
The supporters quickly expressed their opinions on social media:
- “We all agree that it will only be Bramley Moore, right?”
- “It’s not oil money, it’s not a gaming company that exploits addicts, but a local company that pays a fair price. And… everyone will call it Bramley Moore, except those who are committed to using the HD stadium.”
- “People are already getting annoyed by a stadium name that no one wants to use (at least not the fans). It’s about who pays the most.”
- “A rare opportunity, and we’re giving it to a local law firm? Thought TFG had bigger contacts?”
- “Come on, come on, come down to Hill Dickinson Stadium. Everton, we have never shone so clearly…”
The management defends the election – proceedings!
Everton CEO Angus Kinnear stated:
“Choosing Hill Dickinson as a name sponsor is a strategic step forward. This partnership is about more than branding – it’s a shared promise of progress, expertise and urban development. Hill Dickinson Stadium will symbolize Everton’s ambitions and values.”
Craig Scott, CEO of Hill Dickinson, added:
“Naming our stadium is a unique opportunity. We believe in this project’s vision for Liverpool’s future.”
It doesn’t get any better that Hill Dickinson is a law firm, because who likes lawyers, even lawyers don’t like lawyers.
