The player side agreed two weeks ago, and the transfer is now imminent. Wirtz will undergo a medical test and contract signing.”

Following the news, fans have reacted with shock at the amount Liverpool are willing to pay for the 22-year-old.

One fan joked:

“Good player, but €150 million is crazy lol, what on earth.”

A third added,
“Madness.”

A fourth wrote
: “Liverpool really paid €150 million for Wirtz? We got Cherki, Reijnders and Rayan Aït-Nouri for less than €120 million.”

A fifth commented:
“How much?!”

Record Transition

According to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, the Wirtz transfer is on his way to breaking three records.

He wrote on social media

Reunion with Frimpong

The German will also be reunited with his former Leverkusen teammate, Jeremie Frimpong, whose move to Anfield was confirmed last month.
