Bruno Fernandes has never given up on Manchester United. There have been plenty of exit opportunities, the Portuguese who was brought to Old Trafford on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s watch, has stood in the storm and watched one title after another be lost. Towards the summer transfer window, the 31-year-old is again linked with an exit, but this time there are plenty of incentives to stay at Old Trafford.

Fernandes has always stated that he wants to win trophies with Man Utd, according to the Mirror , the United management is willing to give Fernandes a new and improved contract worth up to £400,000 a week. This is the player the next Man Utd manager will have to bring into the coming season.

According to the English media, Fernandes is also keen to continue, not having to wait to see what reinforcements in midfield United bring in this summer, but there are two factors that strongly influence whether Fernandes is to be persuaded to stay at Old Trafford.

The first is that Manchester United secure a Champions League ticket for the coming season, the second is that Michael Carrick continues as coach. The United captain has been impressed with the impact Carrick has had since taking over on an interim basis, and has a strong relationship with him. Fernandes will wait until the end of the season before deciding on his next move. He is expected to have talks with the management before he leaves for the World Cup with Portugal.
