Real Madrid supporters and club president Florentino Perez have probably repressed that Eden Hazard ever played for the club. For the Belgian, it is therefore good to be honoured as a footballer, where he really wreaked havoc with the defence of his opponents in the Premier League.

Eden Hazard signed a five-year deal with Real Madrid in 2019 with a contract expiring in the summer of 2024. Real Madrid and Hazard ended their relationship one year early. At that time, the La Liga giant had paid Chelsea around 145 million euros for the signing. With injuries, lack of match fitness, motivation and €23.2 million in annual salary, Real paid the equivalent of around €36 million per Hazard goal over the six-year period.

At Chelsea, the situation was completely different. Eden Hazard bagged 110 goals and dished out 88 assists in 352 appearances in the blue shirt to titles, as one of the best wingers in Premier League history.

In 2021, the Premier League Hall of Fame was established. Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, Frank Lampard, Dennis Bergkamp, Steven Gerrard and David Beckham were there. Since then, several players have been incorporated, the newest member is now Eden Hazard, reports the Premier League.
