It’s been a tough last few months for Arsenal. By all means, second place in the Premier League and ready for the round of 8 in the Champions League is solid, but Arsenal are no longer satisfied with going almost all the way in. Unnecessary points lost in the Premier League have caused turmoil for Arteta, the big problem has been an injury list that includes several of the most important players. Now finally comes some good news.
On Wednesday, Arsenal left the City Ground scoreless against Nottingham Forest, but with one point into the table account.
After the game, Arteta was asked if Arsenal can expect Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli back on the pitch after the international break in March.
“They have been out for a long, long time, so we also have to integrate them gradually. They are developing well, but there is still a long way to go for both. We have a meeting tomorrow (Thursday) where we will discuss where each of them is. Gabi probably has a chance to be back before Bukayo, but how quickly that is remains to be seen,” Arteta said at the press conference.
If the duo is back after the international break, the home game against Fulham on April 1 could be relevant. Still for quite a while longer, but with six PL games left of the season. We call this good news.
