Arsenal were quite cautious in the summer of 2024 transfer window, but this time they are expected to back Mikel Arteta with more expensive signings.
The Gunners are aiming to bring in a number of reinforcements this summer to give Arteta a squad that can finally win the Premier League title.

Nico Williams (Athletic Club)
Arsenal wanted to sign Nico Williams in the 2024 summer transfer window, and after failing to reach a deal for the Spanish star, they will try again this year. A move to the Emirates Stadium is on the cards, but Arsenal will need to convince Williams to leave his beloved Athletic Club to complete a transfer.
Barcelona are also monitoring his situation, and a number of European clubs are likely to be interested if he decides on a move this summer.

Martin Zubimendi (Real Sociedad)
Real Madrid are hoping to seal Arsenal’s deal for Martin Zubimendi, but the Real Sociedad star is still expected to move to north London after the 2024/25 season.
Arsenal will lose both Thomas Partey and Jorginho on free transfers, and they have therefore identified Zubimendi as their dream target in midfield. They are already said to be close to a deal with the Spanish international as they prepare to bring him to the club.
Benjamin Šeško (RB Leipzig)
Signing a new striker is one of Arsenal’s main goals for 2025, and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Šeško is a key player they are targeting.
The Slovenian international has had a fantastic time in the Bundesliga, and Arsenal are keen to bring him to the Emirates Stadium this summer, especially considering Kai Havertz’s and Gabriel Jesus’ recent games.
Alexander Isak and Viktor Gyökeres are also wanted by the Gunners, but Šeško currently seems like the most realistic option.
Sverre Nypan (Rosenborg)
Rosenborg’s prodigy Sverre Nypan has been linked with a number of top European clubs in recent months, but a move to Arsenal seems like his most likely next step.
We understand that Nypan has already agreed personal terms with the north London giants and that the Norwegian is eager to join the club.
Aston Villa, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have also been heavily linked with the teenager after his breakthrough at Rosenborg, but Arsenal are leading the race for his signature.
Joan García (Espanyol)
David Raya is the undisputed first-choice goalkeeper at the Emirates Stadium, but the Gunners are looking for a backup goalkeeper this summer, as Neto is set to return to Bournemouth after his loan spell in north London.
Espanyol star Joan García has been identified as Arsenal’s first candidate, and the club are aiming to complete a deal after missing out on his signing in 2024.
However, they will face strong competition for the Spaniard, with reported interest from Atlético Madrid, Barcelona, and Manchester United.
